Fancy Byzantine Style Handmade Gold Washed Alloy Chain with Interlocking S-shaped Clasp 44 Inches Long

This fancy Byzantine style chain is hand made and the unique link pattern creates a snake like sleekness in the way the necklace drapes together. This is a vintage piece from the 1960's and from a New Orleans Estate jewelry collection.

The Rolo ring link is 5 millimeters round by 2 mm thick; the ring is solid but not soldered. The twisted open wire links are approximately 8 mm long and 5 mm thick. The necklace has a gold plated finish over a base metal alloy. The clasp is an interlocking S-shaped clasp, original and adds to the unique character of the necklace. It is 44 inches long.
