For the Lakota people the horse 'Shunka Wakan' embodies the concept of generosity.   Featured on this necklace is a hand-made sterling silver pendant with two galloping stylized horses on the top of a medicine wheel design.   The pendant then securely holds a bezel set genuine oval agate gemstone that measures 31millimeters across, 22 mm long, 5 mm thick.   The sterling pendant is 2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.   Finally, it is finished boldly with two tassels of horsehair dangling 2 1/2 inches long.   The pendant's  beautiful agate looks like a distant view of a dark mountain at dusk.   Paha' Sa'pa in Lakota translate to "Black Hills."   Signed "Paha Sapa '89, stamped Sterling, LM, and incised '12 KF."    The necklace is twenty-one (21) inches long.
