Vintage Mexican Hand Tooled Caramel Brown Leather Shoulder Bag Large Size Roomy Interior Pockets Mid 20th Century 5" Wide 9" Long 11" High
This caramel brown color leather shoulder bag is estimated to have been hand made in Mexico in the period between early 1950's to the 1960's. It is a hand tooled and stamped leather handbag with Blooming Rose on the front, 2 sides have camouflage borders where shoulder straps mechanism are mounted, on the back a Aztec sundial pattern with glyph figures, geometric patterns and floral design and the bottom has 2 ¾ inches wide by 11” long basket weave pattern with four original brass pedestal feet. The interior and exterior has been cleaned and the leather has a beautiful rich patina. If you like a distressed fashion statement this handbag is for you.
This handbag has 4 outer pockets, plus 2 zip pockets above the main zipper. Inside features a small pocket and one large compartment separated by a large zipper pocket. The satchel stands on 4 metal pedestals on its bottom. In good vintage condition but has some scuffing on bottom corners, ink marks inside compartments and some stains on the outside.
The vintage bag measures 11" L x 9" H x 5" W. It has two outside Ideal metal zippers creating pouch areas on the inside of both front and back top flaps. It securely closes with another Ideal metal zipper. The inside of the bag is divided by another Ideal metal zipper into two sections. Leather label GENUINE LEATHER, HECHO EN MEXICO on inside pocket. The shoulder strap is 25" total length and 1" wide.
