This unique relief green lava cameo dates back to the early 1900's. It is hand carved and features a beautiful female profile. She is the goddess Ceres with wheat in her hair.
The lava is most likely from the Pompeii area. This circular shaped pin measured 19 millimeters in circumference, 7 mm in depth, and set in silver metal with a C hook.
The unisex pin is in good antique condition.
