The Fleur de Lis has been a symbol for the city of New Orleans ever since the city’s birth. Meaning Lily in French, the emblem of the Fleur de Lis was associated with the Duke D’ Orleans and was incorporated into the city’s flag.
After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, the Fleur de Lis became a symbol of support for the city and unity among all who love her.
The symbolic meaning for this Collection is the life preserver ring. Thrown to a person in the water to prevent drowning or provide buoyancy until they can be rescued. This symbol reminds me that only together can we survive.
The earrings shown with this pendant is available for $165.00. The smaller pendant with chain is $125.00.
